Low Complexity Time Domain Channel Equalizer for CP-OTFS Systems
As an important component of signal demodulation, efficient channel equalization is required for stable data reception in Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) systems. The key to channel equalization design is to strike a balance between complexity and decoding performance with known channel characteristics and the performance of the equalization algorithm. Based on this, we present a channel equalization algorithm called Least Square Minimum Residual based on Successive Interference Cancellation (LSMR-SIC). It fully takes advantage of the sparsity of the Cyclic Prefix-OTFS (CP-OTFS) channel matrix and the resilience of the least squares minimum residual to achieve fast convergence and low complexity with good Bit Error Rate (BER) performance.
