Tri-band Dual-polarization Wide-angle Scanning Shared Aperture Array Antenna

A novel tri-band dual polarized shared-aperture array antenna is proposed in this paper. The C-band antenna adopts the double-layer microstrip patch, and it operates at 3.9 GHz. The folded microstrip dipole is designed as an L-band antenna, with the L1-band antenna operating at 1.69 GHz and the L2-band antenna operating at 1.29 GHz. Based on the miniaturization design of antenna cell, the array achieves wide-angle scanning of ± 60°.

Abstract

A novel tri-band dual polarized shared-aperture array antenna is proposed in this paper. The C-band antenna adopts the double-layer microstrip patch, and it operates at 3.9 GHz. The folded microstrip dipole is designed as an L-band antenna, with the L1-band antenna operating at 1.69 GHz and the L2-band antenna operating at 1.29 GHz. Based on the miniaturization design of antenna cell, the array achieves wide-angle scanning of ± 60°.
