Prototype Vertical Aquaponic Based On Renewable Energy And Artificial Intelligence

Vertical hydroponics is one option for farmers because it has more significant economic potential than conventional agricultural production methods. Solar-powered hydroponic systems have great potential as a cost-saving and environmentally safe alternative. This research presents a prototype of a hydroponic system for cultivating vegetable crops with an aquaponic system based on smart farming to overcome limited agricultural land. The design of this cultivation tool uses the Internet of Things concept so that it can be controlled and monitored via smartphone. The system control process uses fuzzy logic, automatically regulating soil moisture, water temperature, and ammonia. The plants are equipped with air temperature sensors and soil moisture sensors as input, then processed using fuzzy with the output in the form of the duration of the water pump for watering. The fish pond is equipped with temperature and ammonia sensors, then processed using fuzzy calculations, with the output being the duration of the water pump to fill the pond. This research obtained plant watering accuracy with watering accuracy values of 92.56% for spinach, 89.19% for mustard greens, 82.04% for watercress, and 86.63% for pakchoy. Apart from that, the fuzzy control test on pool fillers has an accuracy rate of 90%.
