Abstract

In the quest for sustainable biomass production solutions, this paper introduces an innovative, cost-effective system tailored for algae cultivation and drying, originating from Lebanon. The system integrates a robust plastic tank equipped with a precise thermostat for temperature regulation. Complemented by a recirculation system powered by an air pump, it ensures uniform nutrient distribution and optimal growth conditions within the tank. Additionally, the system integrates a UV disinfection mechanism coupled with a specialized filtration system. Through meticulous examination, this paper elucidates the design, functionality, and operational efficiency of each component, emphasizing its potential to advance sustainable agriculture and bio-resource utilization practices. This paper conducts a thorough examination of the detailed design, functionality, and operational efficiency of each component, emphasizing their combined capacity to transform sustainable agriculture and bio-resource utilization practices. Through the integration of advanced technologies and careful engineering, this cohesive system presents a promising avenue for improving biomass production while mitigating environmental impact. The insights provided in this paper offer valuable contributions to the advancement and adoption of innovative cultivation systems, fostering a path towards more sustainable and resource-efficient biomass production practices in Lebanon and beyond.
