Modeling and Simulation of OFDM Based Underwater Communication System

In this paper, an underwater communication model utilizing Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been developed, and its outcomes and evaluations have been presented. Scientific formulas related to underwater medium losses and modulation parameters have been employed, with the data being divided into sub-symbols to account for underwater losses. The received symbols have then been reassembled to allow for the analysis of performance parameters. The model has been parameterized, and the effects of changes in parameters such as Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), Bit Error Rate (BER), and underwater medium losses have been analyzed. The results indicate that frequency and distance have a more significant impact on communication performance in non-periodic data transfer compared to other parameters.
