Design of ELF/ULF Induction Magnetometer Based on Particle Swarm Otimization

Nowadays, the existing ELF/ULF antennas generally have the problems of large size, low efficiency and poor signal-to-noise ratio, so that the noise level of the induction magnetometers as the receiving end needs to be improved urgently. This paper combines the design process of the existing induction magnetometers, analyzes the influence of each design parameter on the noise level, and proposes an optimized design scheme based on particle swarm optimization algorithm. Simulation results show that the optimal magnetic core has a length of 1.09m, a diameter of 0.024m, an optimal number of turns of 4200, and a noise level of 0.05pT/ Hz1/2 at 1Hz and 8fT/ Hz1/2 at 10Hz when the magnetometers weighs less than 7.5kg and the length less than 1.25m, and the noise level can satisfy the demand of ground-transparent communication.
