PIλDμ Approach for High-Efficiency BLDC Motor Control
In this study, we present the design and implementation of a Fractional-Order Proportional-Integral-Derivative (FOPID), also known as PIλDμ speed controller for Brushless DC (BLDC) motors. BLDC motors are widely used in various applications due to their high efficiency and performance. However, effective control of BLDC motors remains a challenging task due to nonlinear properties and variable operating conditions. Results show that FOPID demonstrates significantly outperform; their integer-order counterpart on performance criteria such as overshooting, rise time, transient duration, and undershoot, due to the inherent flexibility of the volume distribution.
