Day-Ahead Energy Management in Networked Microgrids
Networked microgrids are energy systems where multiple microgrids are interconnected and operate together. Networked microgrids provide operational flexibility by enabling the effective integration of distributed energy resources. The control methods used in these systems play a critical role in the dynamic performance, stability, and reliability of the grid, as well as provide advantages in terms of energy cost. This study evaluates the technical and economic advantages and disadvantages of centralized and decentralized control methods in microgrids, integrating operational constraints, technical constraints, line losses, and load flow, and assessing the impacts of both approaches on microgrid performance.
