Solving the Impulse Response of a Typical High-order Filter by Differential-algebraic Equations

Application of the Pantelides method on solving typical high-order filter's differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) is presented. The method is proved to be valid for transforming the unsolvable DAEs to a solvable form. The numerical calculation based on the transformed DAEs is taken. The comparison between the result with that of the Simulink shows the filter's impulse response is correct.

Abstract

Application of the Pantelides method on solving typical high-order filter's differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) is presented. The method is proved to be valid for transforming the unsolvable DAEs to a solvable form. The numerical calculation based on the transformed DAEs is taken. The comparison between the result with that of the Simulink shows the filter's impulse response is correct.
