An Effective TDR Simulation Tool for Circuit Design and Analysis
This paper presents a simulation tool for the time domain reflectometry (TDR) analysis. A complete user interface is designed in this tool. For the TDR simulation, the excitation signal is initially transformed from the time domain to the frequency domain using the fast Fourier transform (FFT). Subsequently, it convolves this signal with the Y-parameter derived from the S-parameter conversion. The resulting response is then converted back to the time domain using inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) and analyzed to determine the impedance change through TDR calculation.
