Computational Electromagnetic Software Design Based on Qt and OpenGL
Accompanied by the popularity of computers, numerical calculation methods are also promoted as the main electromagnetic analysis methods because of their concise and effective characteristics. Among them, the finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD) has become one of the main stream numerical calculation methods in electromagnetism due to its simplicity and ease of implementation. Making the FDTD algorithm into software can make this powerful numerical calculation tool more popular and easy to use, and software interface design is a crucial part of the software development process. Good interface design can help users quickly find the functions, reduce errors and improve efficiency. To address all the needs, this article gives a Qt and OpenGL based interface design approach applicable to parallel FDTD algorithms. Through this interface, users can realize many functions such as function selection, parameter setting and result display. It is easy to expand, and has certain advantages in cross-platform transplantation, which is conducive to the application and promotion of localised professional electromagnetic simulation software in engineering.
