Fuze Echo of Background Adaptability Evaluation Model Based on Data Driven

To address the need for evaluating the adaptability of radio proximity fuze components under complex conditions, a data-driven modeling method based on target characteristics for assessing fuze echo adaptability to ground backgrounds is proposed. The study investigates the impact of soil moisture content on fuze echo responses, using silty soil as an example. The variation in scattering coefficients of silty soil with different moisture levels and grazing angles is provided. The results show that the scattering coefficient is significantly affected by soil moisture content. For instance, at a grazing angle of 90° and moisture content of 1%, the scattering coefficient is about -8 dB, while at 40% moisture content, the scattering coefficient increases to 3 dB. Using the developed fuze ground background adaptability evaluation model, the echo response characteristics of Ka-band fuzes under different moisture levels were predicted. The results indicate that higher moisture content leads to a higher signal-to-noise ratio in fuze echoes.
