A Novel Circularly-Polarized Asymmetric Magneto-Electric Dipole Antenna Using the Cross-Spiral Slot Feeding
In this paper, we propose a novel circularly-polarized asymmetric magneto-electric dipole antenna (AMEDA). The antenna achieves the circular polarization through two mechanisms: firstly, an asymmetric magneto-electric dipole with four rotational hexagonal parasitic patches; secondly, the cross-spiral slot and sequential rotation microstrip feeding structure are adopted. The 3dB axial ratio and impedance common bandwidth of the proposed CPMEDA is from 31.28 to 32.96 GHz with the peak gain of 9 dBic.
