Theoretical Basis and Application of Dielectric Constant

The dielectric physical mechanism of complex permittivity is analyzed, and by analyzing typical dielectric computational models for water as well as vegetation, it is found that factors such as water content, temperature, salinity, etc., in addition to frequency, are responsible for influencing the dielectric constant of a substance. This coincides with the dielectric physical mechanism. Finally, the value of dielectric constant in engineering applications is briefly introduced in the form of remotely sensed thermograms.

Abstract

The dielectric physical mechanism of complex permittivity is analyzed, and by analyzing typical dielectric computational models for water as well as vegetation, it is found that factors such as water content, temperature, salinity, etc., in addition to frequency, are responsible for influencing the dielectric constant of a substance. This coincides with the dielectric physical mechanism. Finally, the value of dielectric constant in engineering applications is briefly introduced in the form of remotely sensed thermograms.
