A Geometry-Based Marine Channel Model with Ship Roll
In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) geometry-based stochastic model (GBSM) is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) land-to-ship channels. For the most serious roll motion in ship fretting, we use a sinusoidal random process to characterize its impact on the ship's attitude. Based on the constructed model, we derive and simulate the space-time frequency correlation function and Doppler power spectrum. The results show that channel correlation grows with the roll angle decreases, implying that the ship roll introduces additional non-stationarity to the marine channel in the time domain.
