Flexible Multibeam Time-Modulated Arrays
Multibeam time-modulated arrays (TMAs) can be used to simultaneously receive multiple copies of the same signal from different directions to achieve spatial diversity reception and reduce the impact of multipath effects. This conference proposes a method to realize flexible multibeam using coded TMAs. Using genetic algorithms for the design of coded modulating waveforms, the power spectrum energy can be focused at desired harmonics and the energy share of non-utilized harmonics is suppressed. Numerical simulations validate the flexible multibeam method and achieve the desired results.
