Ka-Band 3-dB Quadrature Hybrid on 75μm GaAs Substrates

A wideband 3-dB quadrature hybrid is designed based on the stacked microstrip coupled structure, allowing tighter coupling realizable on 75μm GaAs substrates. The proposed structure can be easily integrated with typical two-metal-layer and thin-substrate GaAs fabrication processes. The simulation result shows the designed hybrid able to operate at 25–55 GHz and provide good port symmetry

Abstract

A wideband 3-dB quadrature hybrid is designed based on the stacked microstrip coupled structure, allowing tighter coupling realizable on 75μm GaAs substrates. The proposed structure can be easily integrated with typical two-metal-layer and thin-substrate GaAs fabrication processes. The simulation result shows the designed hybrid able to operate at 25–55 GHz and provide good port symmetry
