Error Analysis of Gain Measurement for Large Aperture Antennas Using APM

This paper analyzes the error for large aperture HPM antenna gain measurement using the method of absolute power method (APM). Firstly, the basic theory of APM is introduced, followed by an analysis of the error ranges of various error sources involved in the measurement methods. Then, the measurement errors of APM are summarized: APM can control the gain error range within 0.32dB by using the highest precision instrument, Finally, suggestions were proposed to minimize errors based on the conclusion of error analysis.
