A Planar Dual-Band Antenna

In this paper, a planar dual-band antenna is presented. At 2 GHz, the antenna operates as a half-wavelength dipole. At 3.5 GHz, the E-dipole in full-wavelength mode and the M -dipole in slot mode work together to form a magneto-electric (ME) dipole. The measured impedance bandwidth of the antenna are 1.93~2.07 GHz (7%) and 3.2~4.08 GHz (23.6%).
