An Integrated Hesitant Fuzzy-based SWOT Analysis for Industry 5.0 Technology Evaluation
Industry 5.0 is a revolutionary period that emphasizes the intersection of human innovation and modern technologies. This paper presents a strong evaluation framework using hesitant fuzzy-based Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) analysis to assess the impact and potential of Industry 5.0 technologies. The integration of hesitant fuzzy-based SWOT analysis with Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods offers an efficient methodology for such evaluations. The study employs Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic (HFL) Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) methodology to address decision-makers’ uncertainty and hesitation. The HFL AHP approach is used to weight the SWOT factors. The HFL ARAS approach is then used to assess technologies like artificial intelligence, digital twins, cobots, 6 G, and the Internet of Everything. An exemplary application is offered to demonstrate the robustness of the suggested methodology. The results of this application have shown that competitive advantage is the most important SWOT factor and that artificial intelligence is the most appropriate technology.
