Particleboards manufactured with the addition of Jerusalem artichoke(Helianthus tuberosus L.) particles

Particleboards manufactured with the addition of Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus L.)particles. The research was conducted to investigate the potential use of Jerusalem artichoke stem woodyparticles as an alternative raw material for particleboard production. For the purpose of the study, five variants ofboards with different mass shares of Jerusalem artichoke were made under laboratory conditions. The resultingboards were tested for selected mechanical and physical properties. The outcomes show that the particleboardsmade entirely from Jerusalem artichoke meet the requirements for P2 boards according to sufficient Europeanstandards.
