Features of the Legal Regulation of Cryptocurrencies: Japan, Australia and Switzerland
The emergence of cryptocurrencies uncontrolled by government authorities as the newest form of money requires new approaches to their regulation and control, which must be enshrined at the legislative level. The article examines the experience of crypto regulation in such leading countries as Japan, Australia and Switzerland. Thus, in Japan, cryptopolitics was formed under the influence of major cyber attacks, but at the same time remains extremely liberal; Australia and Switzerland also have a flexible approach. It is also noted that due to the cross-border nature of cryptocurrencies, the creation of local crypto regulation in one of the countries will not give significant results — it is necessary to create a supranational regulatory system for regulating the crypto market.
