Software Solutions and Digital Platforms -a New Concept of CommunicationIn recent decades, we have witnessed a set of significant phenomena and processes that define the evolution of human society as a whole. One such phenomenon is the emergence of the information society, a new phase in the development of human civilization, which implies a higher quality lifestyle and makes intensive use of information in all areas of human activity and existence, with major economic and social implications. This new form of society allows its members extensive access to information, a new form of work and knowledge, and amplifies the possibility of economic globalization and increasing social cohesion. The informational society represents a new type of society in which economic, political, cultural activities, etc. are closely linked to the creation, distribution, use, integration, and manipulation of information and digital communication technologies. These technologies have led to an information explosion and have profoundly changed all aspects of social organization, including the economy, education, health, and democracy.Public officials and public administration must understand the importance of this phenomenon, as the information society affects the way they conduct their work and fulfill their role within society.Citizens who actively participate in this form of society are sometimes called digital citizens, and this is just one of the many labels that suggest entering a new phase of society. In this context, it is essential that public officials are prepared to efficiently use new technologies to improve public services and to keep up with the evolution of society. The information society is a society that relies heavily on the use of the Internet, and globalization is a direct consequence of this society. This close link between the information society and globalization makes globalization inevitable, and the information society an irreversible process.Communication within the information society is largely mediated by computers and communication technologies, and the management of information and its transformation into a digital format are facilitated.
