THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF THE KOLA DEANERY IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY BY PRE-SOVIET RESEARCHERS
The article examines two pre-Soviet works devoted to the Kola deanery in the first half of the XIX century. Their authors, Nikolai Dmitrievich Kozmin, a teacher at the Arkhangelsk Theological College, and Alexander Vasilyevich Ivanovsky, editor of the Arkhangelsk Provincial Gazette, published important factual material and made a valuable contribution to the study of a little–studied period in the history of the Kola deanery. A. V. Ivanovsky not only outlined the pressing problems of local parish life, but also outlined their possible causes. The article introduces new personal data about these two outstanding local historians of the Arkhangelsk North.
