Design and Implementation of Visitor Management System using mobile application for Apartment

In this paper, we present a visitor access management system via a smartphone app. The system will consist of 4 main modules:ID Card Camera Module, Face Camera Module, Arduino Box Module and Main module. The Main Module is controlled by Esp32 DevKit V1, which communicates via SPI with RFID RC522, via I2C with LCD 20x4 and MPR121 Keypad. Additionally, there is a card dispenser consisting of an RC Motor and another RC522 RFID reader controlled by an Arduino UNO microcontroller to provide temporary access cards for visitors. The use of temporary access cards ensures convenience for visitors and minimizes disturbance to residents if the visitor needs to enter and exit the apartment complex during their stay. The system utilizes Firebase to store data and provide visitor information to residents through smartphone applications. Using a smartphone app instead of a traditional intercom system significantly reduces initial installation costs while offering users flexibility, allowing them to grant access to visitors anytime and anywhere via the mobile application. This system aims to provide convenience for both visitors and residents, enhance apartment security, reduce operational and installation costs.
