Specific legal requirements for the activities of pharmaceutical wholesalers
Health care is one of the most important tasks of public authorities, and expenditure for this purpose constitutes an important item in the budget of the state and local government units. Health care, in addition to issues related to running hospitals, also includes issues related to the production and trade of medicines necessary for appropriate prevention and treatment. Therefore, the legislator regulated the principles of conducting business in the field of production and trade in medicinal products in the Act of September 6, 2001, Pharmaceutical Law. Trade in medicinal products includes several elements, of which pharmaceutical wholesalers are an indispensable link. Their functioning requires meeting a number of requirements specified in the provisions of the Pharmaceutical Law and other acts. When constructing the legal requirements, the legislator made several mistakes that have a significant impact on the functioning of pharmaceutical wholesalers. Therefore, a legal analysis is necessary to solve legal problems that are important from the point of view of entrepreneurs and patients.
