Research on the current situation and influencing factors of college students' learning engagement level under blended teaching mode

In recent years, blended teaching mode has been widely used in colleges and universities, and student learning engagement has become one of the most important indicators for assessing the effects of educational policies and reforms, making the study of learning engagement a hot topic and trend. This study aims to understand the current situation of students' learning engagement, explore the main factors affecting blended teaching, and put forward suggestions for teaching practice. The study used questionnaires and systematic analyses, and the results found that: the overall blended learning engagement level of college students is in the middle of the range, in which the emotional engagement is the highest, while the communication and interaction engagement is the lowest. In addition, the input level of female students is significantly higher than that of male students, and there are significant differences in behavioural input and communication and interaction input. The degree of influence of each influencing factor of blended learning input on the overall learning input, in descending order, is the individual factor, environmental factor, peer factor, and teacher factor. In the dimensions of behavioural input, cognitive input and affective input, individual factors and peer factors have a significant positive effect on input, and in the dimension of communicative-interactive input, individual factors, peer factors, teacher factors and environmental factors all have a significant positive effect on communicative-interactive input. Based on this, the article concludes with recommendations for improvement: stimulating students' motivation and confidence in learning, strengthening hardware equipment and technical support, and developing collaborative and participatory learning styles to promote effective learning and cultivate innovative thinking.
