A Bibliometric study of Production-oriented Approach in English Reading Instruction with Blended Learning
As an integral component of blended learning, English reading instruction under the Production-oriented Approach (POA), has attracted considerable attention in the academic field in China. To delve deeper into the application prospects and practical effects of this teaching model in China, this study employs CiteSpace's bibliometric method to analyze the current status of English reading instruction based on POA within the context of blended learning. Through data analysis, the researchers found that research on “English reading teaching based on the Production-oriented Approach in blended learning” in China is still emerging, particularly for university students’ English skills. There's a growing interest in applying this approach to younger students. Future directions include exploring its effectiveness across different grades, analyzing implementation methods, cross-cultural comparisons, and developing comprehensive evaluation systems.
