Development of Vocational Education E-learning Software to Improve Students' Understanding of Unfamiliar Concepts

This study aimed to enhance mechanics instruction through an E-learning software. Next-generation technologies have supported innovative teaching methods, though traditional vocational classrooms often lack rich multimedia. We developed simulation-aided educational tools focusing on strain and elasticity concepts, which are difficult for many vocational school students to learn. A model was constructed, and visualizations including Mises stress and U2 plots were generated alongside extensive data. An E-learning software was programmed in C# incorporating these simulated outputs. A teaching experiment evaluated student reception, scoring the approach 8.94/10 for comprehension aided by colorful plots and abundant data, particularly facilitating grasp of strain formulas and calculus (9.04/10). This innovative mechanics teaching model shows promise, meriting further exploration in vocational education. With strategic integration of simulation technologies, mechanics pedagogy may be transformed to optimize learning through engaging, evidence-based resources.
