MACHINE LEARNING IN ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, the availability of large-scale data and the increased computational capabilities of machines open the door to the development of sophisticated methods in environmental monitoring and management systems. Machine learning is becoming a powerful tool that is changing the way environmental data is collected, analyzed and interpreted. By going beyond conventional methods, it enables systems to learn from data, identify patterns and draw conclusions with minimal human intervention. Machine learning algorithms can process vast amounts of complex data from diverse sources to provide insight into environmental changes, predict future trends and support decision-making. Using machine learning in the fight for a better and healthier ecosystem has a number of potential long-term benefits. This paper will outline how machine learning can be put to use in environmental monitoring.
