A study on the impact of tourism online video - Visualization and analysis based on Citespace, VOSviewer

In the context of globalization and digitalization, online video has become a key bridge connecting tourists and destinations, with far-reaching impacts on the tourism industry. In this paper, based on 334 literatures from the Web of Science core collection, the research in the field of tourism video was systematically sorted out and analyzed during the period of 2013-2024 by using Citespace and VOSviewer software. It was found that the number of tourism video research literatures showed a steady increasing trend, especially after the Covid-19 epidemic increased significantly, reflecting the importance of academia to this field. China leads the field of tourism video research in terms of the number of publications, but international cooperation is still insufficient. The research hotspots cover social media influence, tourist behavior, destination image, tourism experience and application of emerging technologies, and evolve with technological innovations and social events. The research methodology has gradually shifted from early qualitative analysis to rigorous empirical analysis, and the depth and breadth of the research has been improved through the construction of analytical models.
