Information Technology in Cross-border Supply Chain: Application in the Banking Industry
Under the trend of global business operation, the role of financial institutions in supply chain finance is no longer limited to providing financing service for regional customers, but can be extended to cross-regional service. Thus, it is necessary for banks to respond to the changes in each link of supply chain finance in a timely and flexible manner. As computer science has become more and more progressive, applying information technology to banking in supply chain finance thus becomes a research topic with practical and academic significance. This paper aims to explore the applications of information technology on banks' supply chain services, and reveal how they can improve banks' business efficiency, risk control and customer experience. With information technology, banks can promote the integration and development of cross-border logistics and international supply, improving the operation of both the financial industry and the business sector.
