Work-in-Progress: Dynamic Modeling and Real-time Simulation for Performance Analysis of Electric Vehicle Powertrain
As the use of electric vehicles (EVs) continues to grow, there is a corresponding rise in research focused on enhancing the efficiency of electric power systems, including motors and inverters. This paper presents a method for integrated modeling and real-time verification to improve the performance of EV powertrain systems. The models for the motor, inverter, controller, and vehicle dynamics were combined and implemented in MATLAB Simulink, followed by an analysis at the vehicle level. The integrated model underwent real-time testing in the Vector CANoe environment. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the real-time performance of the integrated system under various driving conditions by bringing together the individual systems.
