Capacity Maximization for Double Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-Assisted MIMO System

Using Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) instead of traditional relay systems represents a significant advancement in wireless communication technology. RIS can intelligently manipulate radio signals by adjusting phase shifts, thereby improving signal quality and energy efficiency. This study investigates the effectiveness of the Dimension-wise Sinusoidal Maximization (DSM) algorithm in a MIMO multi-user system with dual RIS. The results show that increasing the number of RIS units significantly enhances telecommunication capacity and reduces energy consumption compared to configurations with a single RIS.
