Biometric Verification Using Blockchain and Quantum Computing
Security systems relying on fingerprints and eye scans are trustworthy for identification and authentication. Extracting distinctive features from iris patterns and, ridges and bifurcations from the fingerprint increases the accuracy of the identification procedures. Making a Biometric Verification system including these aspects ensures safety as these are highly stable patterns that usually remain stable over a person's lifetime. As such systems create a strong shield against vulnerability, safeguarding the data containing people's sensitive information is also a major concern. Along with secure data transactions, with the advent of technology, the threat of quantum computers to the security of such biometric systems also needs to be addressed. A 2019 Global Risk Institute survey of 22 quantum computing experts agreed that the technology will threaten encryption systems within 15 to 20 years. The goal of this research paper is to make a Biometric Verification system using Blockchain and Quantum computing to resolve these issues.
