Celebração e dificuldades: uma análise comparativa de narrativas homoeróticas adolescentes em “Vinte Bombons de Banana” de Vitor Martins e “A Aventura do Peru de Natal” de Lucas Rocha

This article aims to analyze two Christmas homoerotic stories with male, homosexual adolescent protagonists: ‘Vinte Bombons de Banana’ by Vitor Martins and ‘A Aventura do Peru de Natal’ by Lucas Rocha, both part of the anthology Todas as Cores do Natal (2017). Using comparative and bibliographic methods, the study highlights the different hardships faced by homosexual adolescent boys as portrayed by the authors and examines the problematic aspects of how sexuality is depicted in their plots. It concludes that contemporary Brazilian authors, particularly those writing young adult narratives, tend to focus more on celebrating homosexuality while acknowledging its associated challenges, rather than solely emphasizing the negative aspects of being a homosexual adolescent boy.
