Impact of NLP Anchoring Techniques on Improving Spontaneous Speaking Skills in ESL Learners

Every learner faces some form of disability inspeaking their ideas coherently, especially those learningEnglish as a second language, as fluency and coherence are veryimportant in speaking. Thus, this research aims to establish thefeasibility of using Neuro-Linguistic Programming anchoringtechniques to improve speaking skills among ESL learners.NLP is a framework that maps stimulus events to the requiredaffective states to enhance reactions. From the conscious use ofNLP techniques, learners will be able to effectively minimizespeech anxiety and increase confidence as well as contentstructuring. This paper explores how certain specific styles ofNLP anchoring results in improved, structured, coherent, andfree-flowing speech. It also considers the challenges that ESLstudents experience during the speaking subskills and show ushow NLP can assist and overcome general speech challenges. In conclusion, the present investigation suggests behaviors thatgive evidence of learning language to mastery.
