Effectiveness Investigation of the Droop Control Through Solar Inverters and Synchronous Generators in an Island Hybrid Micro-Grid: A Lebanese Case Study
This paper presents a real study evaluating a microgrid in a Lebanese village. The microgrid relies on existing synchronous generators and solar power systems. Our investigation focuses on voltage quality by analyzing bus voltage profiles throughout the year. Using ETAP software, we study steady-state behavior during the summer season. Our primary objective is to assess the effectiveness of droop control applied to synchronous generators versus solar inverters for voltage profile improvement.
