Ethical and Regulatory Consideration in AI-Assisted Drug Development

Applying artificial intelligence (AI) to the creation of novel pharmaceuticals has created revolutionary prospects for expediting drug discovery and refining clinical trials. To guarantee responsible innovation, though, these developments raise difficult moral and legal issues that need to be resolved. The main ethical concerns surrounding AI-assisted medication development are examined in this paper, along with the difficulties in mitigating bias, algorithmic openness, and patient permission and data protection. This study examines the application of AI in medication-finding procedures, highlighting that’s function in boosting efforts in precision medicine and enhancing patient outcomes. Regulatory considerations are especially important because current frameworks frequently don't address AI technologies. The review emphasizes revising regulatory norms to account for the special features of artificial intelligence (AI), including real-time learning, validation procedures, and the incorporation of AI technologies into clinical practice. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the interaction between artificial intelligence (AI) and regulatory frameworks, offering recommendations on how to settle moral and legal disputes to promote the development of just and safe medications.
