LOW VITAMIN D PROVISION AS A RISK FACTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TUBERСULOUSIS IN CHILDREN
Considering the importance of the dose-dependent effect of vitamin D on the regulation of immunity, 48 children aged 1-14 years were examined at the tuberculosis department of St. Petersburg Children's Infectious Hospital No. 3 in 2021-2023, who were diagnosed with tuberculosis infection with positive reactions to the RTA test and/or IGRA test, provided that there were no immunodeficiency states. Determination of the calcidiol content in the blood serum of patients revealed: deficiency - in 20.8 %, moderate deficiency - in 41.7 %, severe deficiency of vitamin D - in 31.3 % of cases. In the examined children with vitamin D deficiency (content less than 20 ng/ml), the probability of diagnosing tuberculosis was higher than with its insufficiency and normal content (OR= 7,59 ДИ [1,84-31,34] Se = 0,72; RR =2,51 ДИ [1,09-5,78] Se= 0,43; F=0,0055; φc=0,431).
