CHRONIC TENSION HEADACHE AND IRON DEFICIENCY CONDITIONS: IS THERE A CONNECTION?
Chronic tension headache is a problematic issue from the standpoint of diagnosis and treatment. This form of headache significantly worsens the quality of patients life. The article reflects one of the influence aspects of metabolic disorders on the development and progression of chronic headaches in adolescents. The data we obtained reflect a certain correlation between the level of iron and ferritin and the number of headache episodes per week. In this regard, we consider it appropriate to determine these laboratory markers in patients with a high frequency of headache episodes for the purpose of timely correction of iron deficiency states.
