Abstract

In the context of teaching the Statistics course of the 3rd grade of Lyceum, it was considered worthwhile to engage the students with carrying out a survey, with the aim of understanding and solidifying the concepts of the course, but also investigating the way the theoretical framework of the course is connected with a real problem. Within the framework of the work and with statistics as a basic method, our goal is to observe and come to appropriate conclusions regarding whether today"s education implements a series of goals, from those the state legislates for the educational institution and societal expectations in their fulfillment, since children study and are educated in secondary schools. This work presents the way the students worked as well as the results obtained from conducting the research.
