THE INFLUENCE OF MICRONUTRIENTS ON THE COURSE OF CERVICAL INTRAEPITHELIAL SQUAMOSUS LESIONS
Precancerous conditions and cervical cancer continue to be a pressing issue for global healthcare and are predominantly caused by the persistence of high-risk oncogenic human papillomavirus (HPV HR). The fact of being infected with HPV HR is an essential, but not sufficient, condition for cervical carcinogenesis. Numerous studies have been dedicated to identifying factors that influence the course of HPV infection and the malignant transformation of cervical epithelium, which would enable better prediction of the progression of these conditions. This article presents the results of studying the impact of certain micronutrients (Vitamin D, iron, zinc, copper) on the progression of HPV-associated low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL)
