DETECTION OF TUBERCULOSIS AMONG CHILDREN'S POPULATION IN THE WORLD
The detection of tuberculosis among the child population in comparison with the adult population by regions of the world and in the world as a whole was studied. The proportion of undetected cases of tuberculosis was significantly higher among the child population compared to the adult population. The highest proportion of undetected cases of tuberculosis was noted among children aged 0-4 years. Somewhat better indicators of detection of tuberculosis were among the child population aged 5-14 years. A statistically significant relationship was established between age groups and the proportion of undetected cases. The obtained results indicate insufficient detection of cases of tuberculosis among the child population compared to adults, especially at an early age, from 0 to 4 years.
