Smart Incubatory System for Infants Monitoring using IoT

This paper presents the design and development of a cost-effective prototype for the real-time monitoring of infants in incubators. The objective is to create an intelligent incubator system capable of tracking vital parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, brain electrical activity, and the movement of the infant. The ultimate aim of this project is to lower infant mortality rates and enhance the quality of monitoring. Maintaining optimal environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity, is also a critical aspect of this system. A variety of sensors will be employed to measure these medical parameters from the infants. These sensors will be interfaced with a microcontroller to collect and process the data. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)Espressif Systems’ System on a Chip (SOC) Wi-Fi microchip will be utilized to display the medical readings. Additionally, an IoT (Internet of Things) system will be implemented to transmit these medical values via email, providing alerts to caregivers and parents. This project emphasizes the monitoring and protection of premature infants through the use of advanced sensors and an IoT-based framework.
