Enhancing Diagnostic Quality via Medical Image Integration Procedures

The way several imaging modalities are combined determines significantly the accuracy and dependability of diagnosis. Aiming at improving diagnosis quality, this work focuses on developing and polishing methods for the integration of medical images from several sources. Using state-of-art algorithms, the work presents a novel approach of medical image integration to easily combine data from many imaging modalities. The work also offers a novel method based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria to evaluate integrated imaging systems. The results reveal that the combined approach not only increases the diagnostic accuracy but also reduces the possibility of misdiagnosis.
