Business Model Design with Design Thinking and Business Model Canvas Approach in Metaverse Showroom PT. XYZ
From market research and forecasts conducted by Adroit Market Research at the end of 2021, it has produced rapid growth rates in the global Metaverse market, including Southeast Asia. PT. XYZ has the Metaverse Showroom, a new experience in shopping for physical and digital products in the virtual world, providing information, product simulation, and direct service interaction on automotive products such as cars or other vehicles. The Metaverse Showroom was formed based on benchmarking from other global Metaverse platforms, which have yet to be adapted to the market in Indonesia. Therefore, a business model is needed that suits the needs of the people in Indonesia. In this study, the business model was designed by targeting Generation Z, who had previously entered the Metaverse as respondents. The method used is Design Thinking, which consists of 5 stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. In addition to Design Thinking, researchers use the Business Model Canvas (BMC), Customer Journey Map (CJM), and Service Blueprint (SB). Research results that need to be added to this research include community space features for automotive enthusiasm and interactive features that are integrated with the NFT system and collaborate with Brands. The researcher pours this into BMC along with eight other blocks. Then 3 CJM proposals have their personalities: users who want to find product information or intend to buy these products, users who wish to do NFT Hunting, and users who want to have a community in Metaverse showrooms. In operating the business model, customer actions range from seeking information to how aftersales are carried out. Then in its implementation, there are five internal units: the marketing team, admin, platform, avatar, arcade, and partners. Several support processes, namely, marketing analytics, and login page systems to push notification tools and services, support it.
