Quality of Work Life in Engineering Industrial Sector and its Impact on Job Burnout: Evidence from Bahrain

The aim of this research is to identify the impact of work life quality on job burnout at Fouladh Holding Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Two hundred and thirty-seven employees were surveyed through a simple random method. The analysis is based on the outcome of the questionnaire survey that was given out to a representative sample of the employees at the company in question. The researchers hypothesized that there is a negative and significant impact for both of QWL related to the physical and moral work environment including (occupational safety and health, social relations, wages and salaries) and the QWL related to the organizational and functional work environment including (supervision, job security, promotion and career advancement) on job burnout at Fouladh Holding Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The findings revealed that the two hypothesis are accepted for the negative effects for both of Social relations, Wages and salaries, Supervision, Job security, and Promotion and job advancement on job burnout. These results are discussed and several conclusions and implications were drawn, as well as more recommendations are suggested.
