Towards a Decision Model for Unlocking Innovative Potential: The Role of Psychological Empowerment
This study aims to examine the correlation between psychological empowerment optimality and innovative performance within the Bahraini business environment. Psychological empowerment, a construct rooted in self-determination theory, encompasses four dimensions: meaning, competence, self-efficacy, and autonomy. Thus, this study represents an attempt to reveal how these dimensions affect the innovation practices and productivity of individuals in organizations. A self-completion questionnaire was used with employees from a governmental organization based in Bahrain. The studious method analyzed correlation and regression in order to evaluate the magnitude and direction of the overall relationship between psychological empowerment and innovative performance. The results of this research will be useful in offering recommendations about necessary conditions that support the concept of innovation within the Bahraini environment. Based on the psychological effects, measures can be developed to promote the overall stimulating adoption, creativity and innovative potential of organizations and its employees.
