Optimal Allocation of Capacitor for Voltage Stability Enhancement of Power Distribution System using Ant Lion Algorithm Compared with Fruit Fly Algorithm by Reducing the Real Power Loss

This research study compares two optimization techniques for improving voltage stability in Radial Distribution Systems (RDS) through optimal capacitor allocation: the Fruit Fly Algorithm (FFA) and the innovative Ant Lion Optimization Algorithm (ALO). Materials and Methods: FFA and the new ALO are used in the radial distribution system for the determination of capacitor size. Using G*Power for two groups, the sample size was calculated to include 14 samples with a power of 0.8. Results: The findings show that when it comes to improving voltage stability, ALO performs better than FFA. Statistical significance is indicated by the value of 0.0061 (p<0.05) that was achieved. Conclusion: Voltage stability is much improved (0.7234) by the ALO-based optimization method over the FFA-based method (0.7199).
